During my recent corporate retreat at the Hilton Garden Inn Mystic Groton, the suitability for business travelers became apparent. The 24-hour business center was particularly beneficial for keeping on top of work while away from the office. Coupled with complimentary wired Internet access, I found it easy to maintain productivity. While the room was tidy and the bed comfortable, I was disappointed to discover the whirlpool had been filled with cement, which detracted from my expectations for relaxation. the elevators and surrounding areas could have used more attention, as they appeared neglected. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, making my stay more enjoyable. With four meeting rooms available, this hotel does cater well for business events. Given the minor inconveniences, I would consider alternative locations for future stays. Hilton Garden Inn offers a functional base but lacks some essential comforts for a seamless business trip.
